ISTANBUL BUILDER’S BOOTCAMP OFFICIAL ANNOUNCEMENT

🎉 Are you excited for the Builders Bootcamp in Istanbul? 🏙️ The Sandbox is organizing a special event for creatives in Turkey!

📅 Date: July 5–6 📍 Location: Estanbul Esports and Gaming Center Istanbul, Türkiye

As one of the leading Metaverse platforms, our mission at The Sandbox is to be a global hub for creators. With the continuous development of Game Maker, regular Game Jams that encourage creators, the revolutionary Builders’ Challenge and many other initiatives, we have seen many people joining our vibrant creative community and start creating unique Experiences.

We continue to develop new programs and innovative ways for our creators to succeed at The Sandbox. To that end, The Sandbox has officially launched Builders Bootcamp events around the world.

These events bring together the best creators to dive deep into game mechanics with The Sandbox’s top level designers. We share tips on unleashing popular Game Types such as Tower Defense, Resource Management, Obby Race, and more using the new Game Maker 0.10. Each event will offer two jam-packed days. The event is now in Turkey!

Reasons to Join

Each bootcamp is a private event that will take place at select venues and will be streamed live for those who can’t attend. Participants will have two days of hands-on learning with experts from The Sandbox’s level design team and meet top creators. For their participation, they will receive a LAND or SAND bonus for Experiences built using the CATALYST pack, Game Maker 0.10.

Day One : Learning the Game Maker Rules System

The first day of the bootcamp is dedicated to the Game Maker Rules System, a critical component of The Sandbox system. Participants will:

• They will gain a comprehensive understanding of the Game Rules System, which is essential for developing more immersive and dynamic game experiences.
• They will explore the player’s use of the Heads-Up Display (HUD).
• They will practice using time-saving Preset and Debug tools to quickly integrate and troubleshoot advanced game logic.

This day aims to equip creators with the fundamental building blocks necessary to create dynamic and responsive gaming experiences on The Sandbox platform.

Day Two : Exploring Game Genres and Increasing Player Engagement

The second day of the bootcamp will focus on the various types of games that thrive within The Sandbox. Participants will be:

• They will dive deep into five popular game genres, exploring their distinctive gameplay patterns and mechanics.
• They will learn innovative techniques to attract a wider audience to their plays.
• Within an Experience they will explore the potential of motivating players to unlock fun and exclusive gameplay options through NFT ownership.

This session is designed to provide concrete examples of advanced and expert design approaches that creatives can apply to their projects. By integrating these strategies, creators can increase engagement and monetization of their Experience. The aim is to equip participants with the knowledge and tools necessary to achieve greater success in their creations.
